Dr. Tinatin Davitashvili contributes San Diego State University Georgia STEM programs as a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CompE-160, CompE-271, EE-300, and Math-541). Dr. T. Davitashvili also works at the Department of Numerical Analysis & Computational Technologies at I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Dr.T.Davitashvili participated in several projects of ISTC (about High-Performance Computations), TEMPUS (about E-Learning), Higher Education Project "San Diego State University and Georgia 2020" of US Millennium Challenge Corporation (as a short-term scholar at SDSU) and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, is a recipient of a travel grant from IMU – International Mathematical Union to attend the International Congress of Mathematicians at Rio de Janeiro.
