Dear SDSU Georgia Community,

Welcome to the Fall 2021 semester!

For the last three semesters, SDSU Georgia has been operating mainly in a virtual setting, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As close to 75% of our student population has already been vaccinated, we are approaching a COVID-free period with hope. Meanwhile, for the Fall 2021 semester, SDSU Georgia plans to apply a SDSU FLEX model, which is a blend of in-person, hybrid, and virtual offerings. This will be contingent upon the local epidemiological situation, relevant regulations issued by the Georgian Government, and the vaccination status of the SDSU Georgia community (students, faculty, and staff).  The plan is to:

1) Slowly repopulate campus, with priority placed on courses that require in-person instruction, and

2) Provide maximum flexible participation between face-to-face (f2f) instruction and online course offerings.

SDSU Georgia continues supporting its students through these times with virtual services, active student life and self-development, virtual career services and employment events, individual academic advising for each student, and scholarship opportunities. Throughout the Fall 2021 semester, students will continue to acquire funding to participate in scientific events and conferences, exchange semester at SDSU main campus, and other opportunities. Additionally, financial aid for the Fall and Spring 2021 semesters has already been extended to all active students at SDSU Georgia. Funds have been disbursed through HEERF (American Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund), with the initiative of SDSU President, Adela de la Torre, as a result of her Commencement 2021 visit to Georgia in June.

We are looking forward to a successful semester and a safe return to campus in a COVID-free environment.

BEST WISHES FOR FALL 2021!!!
