Anna Tonikyan

ECE Project Assistant

Anna joined San Diego State University Georgia in 2017. Starting as a Student Service Coordinator and later transitioning to Academic Affairs Coordinator, Anna actively contributed to enhancing student experiences while supporting various university programs and securing philanthropic support for the university.

Since November 2019, Anna has served as a project coordinator for the U.S. State Department-funded project titled "Supporting STEM Research and Graduate Education in Georgia," operated by San Diego State University, California. This project aimed to strengthen the quantitative and qualitative research skills and academic writing skills of young Georgian scholars, and coach Georgian scholars for publishing research papers in Georgian and Western academic peer-reviewed journals in STEM fields.

Presently, Anna is acting as a Project Assistant for the Early Childhood Education Project which is a collaborative effort with the Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality Project (I2Q) funded by the World Bank.
This collaborative initiative is dedicated to enhancing the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector in Georgia, prioritizing the initiation of significant transformative changes and advancements. 

Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the International Black Sea University and currently pursuing her doctorate at Ilia State University.
