All junior students who have completed pre-major requirements and are academically qualified (with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0) will be able to participate in the program, if they manage to find a mentor at SDSU who can provide confirmation that they will accept students for the specific time period (three to eight weeks) during summer 2019.

Additionally, if students require funding, they will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5
  • Be able to demonstrate the need for funding
  • Have had no prior experience at home campus

All students applying for summer research must have satisfied the English language competence requirement: TOEFL score of at least 550 ITP, 80 IBT, or IELTS score of at least 6.5.

We will be happy to help you find an SDSU faculty who will supervise your research.

We are able to accommodate funding for Georgian citizens only for now, but students of all nationalities are welcome to participate in the program.

If you think that you require financial assistance, please:
